I was pretty nervous in the morning which made it hard to eat. we got there with lots of time and the weather was perfect... very nice day for a race. so after warming up and sitting in ice a little more we went to the line.

first hundred meters a kid behind me was tripped from behind and he grapped my shoulder to break his fall and i saved his life... but i started way too far back in the group and i got backed up a lot. first couple laps felt like a very easy pace and i hit the mile at 4:50. then the top two kids started making there surge up and i was blocked off AGAIN. but i got around much quicker and got right on tysons hills. next 2 laps i just rode right behind him still feeling good but pushing harder. with 700 left i could tell tyson wasn't feeling too well so i tried to get in front of him and have him ride off me for a while but after 50 meters i never saw him again. then moving into the last lap i hit the ground hard trying to finish strong again.. the leader was a good 7 seconds ahead of me so i never even thought about catching him (which was my problem here). overall good strong finish getting a 9 second PR.
