am: 2 mile morning practice felt pretty good. my back did too.

pm: had a mile time trial today. it was so so hot. 90 degree's. really hot. after the warm up everyone just stood under the sprinklers for a while. i got my spikes on, did a few strides and then joined them. my back felt good which made me happy.

race started and i stuck right behing abel, who was doing a 1000m time trial, and ran a 1:04 first lap. i felt good and moved it a bit faster and halfway through this lap i thought it was the 3rd lap all of a sudden and i was happy about how good i felt. then i realized it only did 2 lap. the third lap the hit really hit hard. i kept it down a bit but i think it was pretty slow. then i finished semi strong with a 4:31.

it was an alright time. not really impressive, but i was more happy that my back still felt good. i'm still taking the pills and getting it adjusted tonight. i think i should be ready to get some of my goals at state. the main thing i'm missing right now is confidence. i dont know how i'm going to get it, maybe just pump myself up, but i really need to believe i can do it or it wont happen.

try 102!

This workout should build that confidence. To run a 4:30 in 102 degrees, in a time trial, all by yourself... you are ready to go!

Also... all though this workout is termed "all out" it really is going to be at 95% because of the ideas I just mentioned - at 95% your time is a sub 4:20 (Bob).
