am: 3. felt pretty good

day went fine. warmed up 2 mile and it was a pretty good day at canyon view where region was held. i was excited to race but, i don't know, i felt really weak doing drills and strides. my back felt pretty good though so that was good.

race started and i took out into the lead and came through the first lap at 1:04. i tried to surge here and i kind of did. 6 people were on my back. next lap wasn't amazing, i think it was a 1:08 or so. I could feel my legs slowing down and Abel came and started to pass me so i surged again cause that meant i was slowing down. 1:10. at the beginning of the last lap Jason just blew by me i could not go with him. then another person and another person passed me and i just couldn't run. the last 100 i could hear Nephi (sophmore) coming close to me and i really didn't want him to beat me so i gave it my all and edge him out at least.

i was really bummed about this race. i don't know. i just really feel a lot more tired, and i can't race! i want to run well so bad but i can't get myself to do it. i think i really just don't have any confidence in myself right now.

cooled down a mile
